Chateau Country Club Ball Room Saturday Night, April 16, 2016 Chateau Country Club was really rocking Saturday night. The Bobby Cure band played and sang their way into eveyone hearts with many favorite requests from an "audience" of over 150 grads and spouses. With out-of-this-world sumptous food at every turn and everyone dressed to a new definition of "snappy casual" these kids could have kept going until the sun came up. Dvosha Goldberg and all the Reunion Committee members put in many long hours to make sure everything happened like clock work and it couldn't have gone smoother. Bobby Cure Band - Outstanding! Registration Saturday night was a snap with these four: Yvette Knatzer Burns, Phyllis Cohen Allison, Wanda Abadie Whittington, and Jane Melancon Pfeifer. Dave Perry takes a time-out from registration duties for a photo-op with wife Barbara who helped distribute name tags and lanyards Friday night. Roger Magendie and friend Shay Edmondson worked crowd control Saturday night helping to expedite getting our grads to the registration tables. Class of 1966 Celebrates 60-Year Reunion! The Fortier High School Class of 1966 celebrated its 60-year reunion in grand style with a meet-and-greet the evening of Saturday, June 13, 2026 followed the next morning by brunch, both at the Chateau Country Club in Kenner, La. In addition to the great food and DJ-provided hits from the 60's (of course!) Saturday evening, there was plenty of reunion cake to go around at both events! Many, many thanks to Karen and Bruce Hirsch for their fantastic efforts through the years in leading the many reunion committee members in putting together every single one of our reunions. Fortier High School Tour, Saturday, April 16th, 10:00 -11:30 A. M. Join us at our old high school which looks much the same in many ways as it did when we graduated. Fortier '66 graduate Wiley Ates is the principal and the school is known as Lusher Charter School on the Fortier Campus . We'll meet on the front steps at 10:00 A.M. before going to the library, which for those of you who never visited, is still on the fourth floor. This will probably be the first time you've entered the school using the Freret St. steps! If it's raining, we'll use the Nashville Ave. entrance. Dress: Casual Price: No Charge Yearbooks Welcomed.
